How is the course structured?
Modules
Each lesson consists of three vocabulary modules, all connected to the main theme of the lesson.
The themes help you in everyday life and work. You can use the new vocabulary right away.
In Exercise 1 you learn new words.
In Exercise 2 you read or listen to a text and complete interactive tasks related to it.
In Exercise 3 you are active: you write a text or speak with me in an interactive video.
Writing practice
In the final task of exercises 3 you become active yourself.
Apply your new knowledge from the lesson directly and submit answers, which my team and I will review.
Speaking practice
You practice pronunciation and fluency in the speaking exercises in every lesson.
I guide you through a topic in a video and continually encourage you to speak.
You can practice as many times as needed until you feel confident speaking!
Grammar
In each lesson, you learn three new grammar topics.
The grammar is always connected to the vocabulary modules.
This way, you learn relevant grammar structures that you need in everyday life right away.
It helps you speak more confidently and understand others better.
Vocabulary
Vocabulary sets (text + image + audio) at the end of each lesson
Vocabulary for review and reinforcement
At the end of each lesson, there are vocabulary cards with images and audio, so that you can immediately review and reinforce new words.
Test Your Knowledge
At the end of each lesson, you can check what you have learned in the “Test Your Knowledge” category.
This way, you can see what you have understood well and where you still need to practice more.

1What level do I need to participate in the course?
This course is build in English and German. You don’t need any German knowledge to take part in this course. We build on the basics and deepen vocabulary, grammar, as well as the four skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing).
2When does the course start?
Once you’ve signed up, you can start the first lesson immediately.
3How long does the course last?
The course is designed so that you can reach the A1 level in 8 weeks. However, you have lifetime access to all materials and can set your own pace.
4How do I learn in this course?
After signing up, you will get access to our learning platform. The course starts with simple exercises that provide input. You will work on grammar and vocabulary tasks, followed by texts and audio files that help with reading and listening. You will then check your understanding with questions about these contents. The next step is the output: You will be actively encouraged to write and speak through tasks and videos to apply and solidify what you’ve learned.
5How long do I have access to the course?
You have lifetime access to all materials.
6What do I do if I have questions?
